Jeff's IRS career spanned over 31 years, and included every job from Revenue Agent to the Area Director of Appeals. Jeff actually wrote parts of the Revenue Agent audit procedure manual. Jeff also participated in the creation of IRS’ centralized classification procedures that were used to identify tax returns, throughout the United States, that “needed to be audited”. Jeff knows which tax returns "ask to be audited" and he can consult you in this regard.
Jeff has also worked in the IRS' Appeals Division for 17 years, and, in his most recent position, was in charge of an Appeals division with over 300 employees. Jeff has a significant amount of successful experience in resolving both Collection (Revenue Officer), and Examination (Revenue Agent) type cases.
As a Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP, Jeff relied upon his significant IRS experience to successfully represent both corporate and individual clients before the IRS. In fact, a majority of the income tax audits and collection cases Jeff worked on ended with a no-change result.
Jeff has an excellent reputation with the IRS, and has an equally valued reputation in the Big 4 accounting community. Jeff is a trained mediator, and specializes in negotiating and resolving tax controversies with the IRS. Jeff is an Enrolled Agent and is authorized by the IRS to practice in all 50 United States.
Because of his extensive background and experience, Mr. Galante has applied for a key position within the IRS' Advisory Council.
